This Is What Happens When The Internet Is Controlled

Vox recently did a piece regarding the internet in Cuba. Even though the current situation between the U.S. and Cuba is getting better, Cubans have had to resort to some remarkable ingenuity to get the things they want. Ironically, they have a pretty good smart TV solution in a country where there is only one state controlled TV station and a few state controlled radio stations.
Yet, the Cubans have found a way to watch the latest offerings from Hollywood, major television networks, Hulu and even Netflix without a substantial internet service. How do they do it?
This is yet another example of what happens when a suppressed people still need to get the information and entertainment they want and deserve thanks to a few digital pirates, some ingenuity and a bit of hard work.
